Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first book in the Harry Potter series and introduces us to the world of magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in America.

For the last ten and a half years, Harry Potter has been under the impression that he is an ordinary boy, but on the lead up to his eleventh birthday, letters addressed to him keep appearing, despite the best efforts of his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. On his eleventh birthday, he’s visited by Rubeus Hagrid, an enormous man who tells Harry that he is a wizard. Harry travels to Hogwarts where he meets his new best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Together, the three of them learn magic and uncover a secret Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster of the school, has hidden in the castle.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second Harry Potter novel.

Harry Potter is desperate to get back to Hogwarts and the world of magic, however both his family and a house-elf are both determined for him to stay locked in his room. When Ron and his brothers bust Harry out in a flying car, they’re able to make it back to Hogwarts. What awaits them at school is a diary that writes back, an ancient monster being awoken, talking snakes, giant spiders, petrified students, and a boastful, fame-hungry teacher. It’s up to Harry to stop things before one of his fellow students gets hurt, if he can survive the house-elf’s attempts to keep him safe.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third novel in the Harry Potter series

Azkaban is the wizarding prison guarded by the despair-inducing Dementors. Nobody has escaped from there, nobody until now. Sirius Black, Harry Potter’s godfather and the man imprisoned for betraying his parents to Lord Voldemort, has escaped from Azkaban and is heading to Hogwarts with murder on his mind. To protect Harry and his fellow students, the Dementors have taken up posts at the school, and the newest professor just happens to be another friend of Harry’s father.
