Rosemary Harper wants to escape from her old life, and to do so she takes up the position of ship’s file clerk on the Wayfarer. Crewed by a mix of humans and aliens, the Wayfarer’s job is to create subspace tunnels for faster travel. When they’re hired for a job by the government of the Galactic Commons, they set out on a year long journey to their destination, leading to secrets being found out and bonds being both strained and strengthened.
A Closed and Common Orbit is the second book in the Wayfarers series. Continuing on from where the first left off, but focusing on a different set of characters, it is a stand-alone sequel.

Following the aftermath of the attack on the Wayfarer, the AI Lovelace leaves in her illegal new body with Pepper, the engineer. Together they travel back to Pepper’s home where Lovelace has to learn what it is to be human. Pepper, a genetically engineered ex-slave, is possibly the best person to help with that, as is explored in her flashbacks, but even she can’t help with everything Lovelace is going through.
Record of a Spaceborn Few is the third book in the Wayfarers series, and is another stand-alone sequel.

When Earth became uninhabitable centuries ago, humanity fled to the stars on the Exodus Fleet. While most left the fleet to settle on new worlds among the Galactic Commons, there are still people living in the Fleet to this day, taking great pride in their community and traditions. It’s where many people are from, but few outsiders visit. This story follows five people who live in the Fleet when a disaster strikes.
